How to Save a Life

Anybody out there?

And so begins a new decade of life.... ew, weird. So this past weekend was fall break. I went home and it was really nice to just get away for a while. I hung out with the family, got to visit with some friends, and did the whole birthday thing. Even though it seemed like I had stuff to do every second, it was a fun weekend!

So this Xanga thing is getting old. No one really reads this anymore, at least not that I know of, and the few people that do, basically already know the stuff that I write on here before I write it So what's the point right? I'm still gonna keep it so I can read other people's posts, and I'll probably write every now and then, but for now, if you're interested in what's going on with me, write me an email or give me a call or something because I guess this isn't cutting it.

So now my friends, I bid you adieu.

Dang!

It is finished!!! It's hard to believe, but I am done with the musical The Carousel. We had our last performance today, and although it's been fun and I'll miss performing, I'm glad that I don't have to go to rehearsals anymore!! I can actually have a life again! Hopefully my regular friends haven't forgotten about me  .

Mmmmm.... if the month of October could last forever, I'd be ok with that. Basically everything about it is pretty terrific! Anyone wanna join me in some leaf-pile jumping???

So the next 7 days will mark the termination of my years as an adolecent.... in other words, I get presents for getting one year closer to death . I get to celebrate by going home for school's fall break weekend!!!

Ok, I'm done. Peace.

Oh stress....

It's been a pretty intense past two weeks with some serious Carousel rehearsal action. Trying to do homework and live a normal life outside of it has been rather difficult.

On a lighter note, I finally started my piano lessons. It's going to be a challenge, but I think I'm gonna learn a lot. Also, I am proud to say I completed my first real song for songwriting class! Though it's not perfect, and could use some fine-tuning, I'm really happy with it! I played it in class and got lots of positive feedback on it!

Opening night tomorrow night! There are six shows, so I don't see any reasonable excuses for any of you missing out on it . Make my 11 hour rehearsals worth it!!!

Byrum Hall:

September 29, 30 - 7:30
October 1 - 2:30
October 6, 7 - 7:30
October 8 - 2:30

Have a great weekend all!

Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir here I come...

So I am now the choir director for the Daleville United Methodist Church. Haha, who knew! The music office sent out an email about different churches in the area that were hiring for different music positions and I decided to try this one. I start next week! The church is about 15 mins from school, it has a congregation of around 80 people, and the choir is only about 8 people! Even though I've been in about ten million different choirs, I've never directed one, so this should be an interesting experience!

In other news: Joe joined the AU rugby team so it's been cool going to his matches. I've never watched rugby before, so I'm getting to learn all sorts of new stuff! Musical practice has been pretty crazy and it's only gonna get worse. I'm still having fun of course, but I'm ready for it to be performance time, no more rehersals. I also got a job working for Reardon as an Events Usher. I'll only work like once a month at the big concerts, etc. that Reardon hosts. So that's my life lately..... woopdeedo! Have a good week all!

P.S. If any one has an hints on how to pass Accounting, let me know. That class is killing me!
